Refund Policy
How DEVEDGE PAYMENTS LTD. handles refund requests for processed transactions and asset transfers.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Settled Transactions Are Final
Every transaction processed by DEVEDGE PAYMENTS LTD. ("DevEdge" or the "Company") becomes final and irrevocable once settlement has occurred. As a general rule, we do not refund transactions that have been correctly executed and settled in accordance with the instructions we received.
2. Our Role as a Business-to-Business Provider
DevEdge provides its services exclusively to verified legal entities. We act as a technical and transactional facilitator for those corporate clients and are not a party to the commercial relationship between a client and its own customers. We therefore do not set, oversee or guarantee the commercial terms, refund policies, delivery of goods or quality of services that our clients offer to their end customers. End customers seeking a refund for a purchase should contact the merchant or business they paid in the first instance.
3. Errors Outside Our Control
We cannot reverse a transaction or recover funds or assets where the payment instruction contained inaccurate beneficiary or banking details supplied by the client, where the value of the funds or assets changed because of market or exchange-rate movements after settlement, or where the transaction was completed exactly as set out in the original payment order.
4. When a Refund May Be Considered
Refunds are considered only in exceptional cases where a technical or operational failure is directly attributable to DevEdge. This includes situations where a client was charged twice for the same transaction because of a system error, where duplicate identical instructions led to funds or assets being debited twice, or where a cancellation request was received before execution began and the funds or assets were still held by DevEdge.
5. How to Request a Refund and Processing Times
A refund request must be submitted in writing from the client's registered contact to compliance@devedgepay.com. It must include the relevant transaction identifiers, evidence of the error and confirmation of the client's identity. Requests should be made within 30 days of the transaction date so that records can be reconciled with our banking and processing partners.
Every request is reviewed from both an operational and a compliance perspective. We aim to complete the initial eligibility review within five to seven business days and to notify the client of the outcome in writing. Where a refund is approved, funds or assets are normally returned to the original source account within ten to fourteen business days. Timelines may be longer where external banking procedures, anti-fraud screening, reconciliation or regulatory reporting obligations under the PCMLTFA apply. Refunds are always made to the account from which the original payment was received and never to a third party.
6. Transactions Restricted for Compliance Reasons
DevEdge operates in accordance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and the guidance issued by FINTRAC. No refund will be issued for transactions that are blocked, declined or suspended because of regulatory restrictions, suspected unlawful activity or incomplete compliance checks until those matters have been fully resolved.
Where property is subject to Canadian sanctions legislation or to the terrorist property provisions of the Criminal Code, DevEdge is legally required to freeze it and may not release or return it. Such cases, as well as transactions giving rise to reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering or terrorist financing, may be reported to FINTRAC, the RCMP or other competent authorities, and DevEdge may be prohibited by law from informing the client.
7. When Refunds Will Not Be Issued
Refunds will not be issued where the transaction was properly completed and the funds or assets were transferred, where they were sent to the receiving account designated in the client's or merchant's instructions, where the corporate client or its end customer breached its compliance obligations or provided false or misleading documents, or where the claim is based on changes in market value, exchange-rate fluctuations or dissatisfaction with the goods or services supplied by the corporate client.
8. Irregular Payments and Invoices
Payments that fall outside the expected parameters of an invoice, for example underpayments, overpayments, late payments, duplicate payments or payments made in the wrong currency or asset type, are treated as irregular. Irregular payments may be refused, held for investigation or returned to the sender once the investigation is complete, less any third-party network or banking fees incurred. Every return decision is subject to compliance review under the PCMLTFA framework.
9. Complaints and Contact
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter in writing to our complaints team, which will review the case independently of the original decision and provide a written response.
